My son of course!

Daily Prompt:Voice Work

Your blog is about to be recorded into an audiobook. If you could choose anyone — from your grandma to Samuel L. Jackson — to narrate your posts, who would it be?

Does it have to be just one person?  First and foremost I would love to hear my son reading my book.  We’ve established a routine where some nights I read to him but other nights he reads to me.  The book I’m writing are all the things I’m teaching him, so I would LOVE to hear him recite it for me… over and over and over again.

Secondly, I’d love to have Bill read it.  My dream has always been to lay in a park on a blanket and have a man read to me.  Corny?  Maybe.  But hearing Bill’s voice does something to me.  It sparks something alive inside of me.  To hear him read MY work would be a double dream come true.

Yup… Lovin’ my boys.

Happy Blogging!!

The Love of my life of course…

Daily Prompt:Secret Admirers

You return home to discover a huge flower bouquet waiting for you, no card attached. Who is it from — and why did they send it to you?

They are from my boyfriend!  He’s always buying me roses.  I never used to like getting flowers, but he’s changed me in some way.  When he comes home with flowers, I know he’s happy, and he wants to share it with me.  Or else he’s sending me a reminder as to how much he loves me, as if I’d forget while he was at work.

Or maybe it’s from someone else.  There’s no card, so how can I be sure?  Instead of racking my brain to figure out who they are from, they go right on the coffee table where I can enjoy their scent and beauty all day.  If the sender chose to remain anonymous, he (or she) just wanted to bring a smile to my face.  And that they would.

Happy blogging everyone!

Peace, Love and Happiness, Always!

Change in weather? I’m OUT!!!

Daily prompt: Sudden Shifts

You’re at the beach with some friends and/or family, enjoying the sun, nibbling on some watermelon. All of a sudden, within seconds, the weather shifts and hale starts descending form the sky. Write a post about what happens next.

I hate to put this in writing, to actually put a scene before your very eyes, one that I’m not very proud of. However, you asked, so I’ll tell you.  As soon as the weather stats to change for the worse, I am outta there!  I HATE thunder storms (you can find my hiding when these pop up) and snow?  Ughhh  I’m more annoyed than afraid, but I know at some point I’m going to have to drive in it, which scares me.  So, I wish there was no change in the weather.  I’d like to live where it’s between 65 and 70 degrees all the time, with maybe a possible shower.  I love a light rain. Hail?  I’ll pass.  I know it hurts/burns/stings when you’re caught in it, and it does more damage than good.  Does it even do any good?  I’m thinking no.  So, I could do without a change in weather altogether.  I’m quite content with the above description of a steady temperature and light rain.  So if you live in area like this PLEASE let me know.  I will make moving arrangements ASAP!!

Daily Prompt: Roaring Laughter

Daily Prompt

What was the last thing that gave you a real, authentic, tearful, hearty belly laugh? Why was it so funny?

Over the course of the last year, it’s hard to pick out one particular moment of pure belly laughter, when I have so many to choose from.  In all honesty (and we just had this conversation the other day) I have not, in my entire life, laughed as much as I have this past year.  I met a man, who, like everyone else has good days and bad.  However, when he’s having a good day, we’re ALL having a good day.  From the things he says to the things he does, the man has me laughing harder than I ever have.
